Huge Pharmaceutical Company Settles Fraud Lawsuit For $3 Billion
(420 Times) GSK has recently settled a huge Department of Justice lawsuit to the tune of $3 billion for misleading people on the effectiveness and danger of their medications, as well as providing kickbacks and perks for doctors who broke FDA rules in prescribing these meds.
“[This] multibillion dollar settlement is unprecedented in both size and scope,” Deputy Attorney General James M. Cole said in a press conference about the settlement.
