Another guide by the stoners at WeedPornDaily. This one’s a quickie, since this is a relatively easy process.

WTF is a Gravity Bong?

     A grav bong is a device that uses water and gravity to extract smoke from a bowl.  For a visual demonstration(or if you hate my text guides), watch this video.

What am I gonna need?

     They’re usually constructed from a simple bucket(or large container tall enough), 2L soda bottle(or gatorade bottle), bowl, and alumnium foil. The bowl can be bought from a tobacco shop, extracted from an old bong, fashioned out of aluminum foil, or you can craft a make-shift one. I’d recommend using a lug nut and putting a screen/aluminum inside.

What do I do with this junk?

     Cut the 2L bottle in half, saving the bottom(or top, if you can cut/burn through the cap). Remember: the bigger it is, the bigger the hit. Now for the bowl. If you’ve got a glass or strong metal bowl, this part can be incredibly easy: heat up a small circle on the bottom of the container. Wet the bowl with cold water and jam it through. Allow it to cool and you’re good to go.

     If you can’t do it the easy way: Just cut/burn a hole big enough for the bowl to fit through. Good luck. Make sure it’s airtight. If you make the hole too big, consider stuffing it with something non-flammable/non-plastic.

     Once the bowl is fit, cut/burn another hole somewhere near the top for the carb. You’ll use this suck the smoke from, so make sure it’s big enough and somewhere easy to reach! If you used the top of the 2L and there’s a cap, you don’t need a carb. Just unscrew it when it’s time to suck.

     Fill your larger container with water - enough to reach near the top of your 2L. Place your 2L inside, without weed, and submerge it as low as you’d like. Fill your bowl with weed, and get ready.

So how do I smoke this thing?

     Whip out a lighter and place it near the bowl, as if you were smoking it. Slowly pull the 2L bottle out of the water, allowing air inside to burn the bowl.

     Make sure the entire time that your hand is on the carb!

     Once you begin to reach the end, don’t pull the 2L out of the water!

     Simply remove your finger from the carb and place your lips on it. As you suck, bring the 2L back down into the water, until you’ve extracted all the smoke.

Easy as that?

     You bet. You can do it with any size containers, and as with anything, there are many ways to manicure a nug - so search for some other guides on YouTube or Google. Or experiment once you’ve tried mine.
